Question by Raymond Pist: Girlfriend won’t let me break up with her. Says she has “Rape Insurance”?
My girlfriend of 2 years and I hadn’t been getting along lately, and I knew the time had come for me to end things. Truth is, she’s gained a bit of weight, and also, I’ve had my eye on a new girl, from work, who seems interested in me. But I didn’t tell my girlfriend that!

I sat her down, and as gently as I could, explained that I had fallen out of love. That we didn’t seem to be getting along anymore. That it wasn’t her, it was me. That we could still be friends. That I’m sure she would find someone better than me.

…And that I wouldn’t be seeing her anymore.

To which she simply replied “No.” And went on to inform me that our relationship would continue exactly as it had been going.  Read more...
